North End and Hyde Park walks.

Streetcar lots from the 1890s through the 1920s mean tight side yards, plaster houses, and big maples. A new walk has to thread roots and a porch that was never square. We form to the house that is there, not to a plat default.

The Bench is a different pour. Wider lots, postwar slabs, and more room for a truck. Failures here are often thin original drives and joints that were never cut. Replacement is common. A patch on a 4-inch pour that is already map-cracked is a short hide.

Boise is Idaho's largest city and the state capital. That fact matters because downtown infill, city permits, and ACHD strips show up on jobs that never appear in a new Meridian plat. North End and Hyde Park lots still follow the old streetcar grid. Houses sit close. Maples sit closer. A chute off the street may not reach the backyard without a pump or a long buggy run.

The Bench is postwar housing with a different problem. Slabs were thin. Joints were few. Irrigation and freeze-thaw have had decades to work those pours. A hairline on a Bench drive can be shrinkage. A dropped corner is base. We look before we sell fill.

Warm Springs grades and foothills lots add slope. Water wants to run toward the garage if we copy a bad existing fall. Harris Ranch and West Boise add newer stock that behaves more like Meridian, but access is still not a south-belt cul-de-sac. The Boise River corridor changes soils and sometimes the water table on nearby lots. River-adjacent yards can stay wet later in spring than a dry bench lot.

City of Boise permits and some historic overlay rules are not a Meridian HOA packet. ACHD right-of-way street trees are not yours to cut for chute access. We plan the pour around those trees and the sidewalk grid. Downtown infill with almost no drop zone is the extreme case. If the only path is an alley, say that in the first message.
